I build and invest in tech companies.
As a kid, I wanted to be an architect. The combination of art and science intrigued me—a building has to stand but also be beautiful.
However, I found my way to entrepreneurship. Now I'm building companies instead of houses.
The biggest one I built is called RegioHelden, which I started in 2009. It offers marketing services to small businesses in Germany. I launched it right after university as a solo founder, following two failed projects.
RegioHelden employed hundreds of talented individuals and served tens of thousands of SMBs. Eventually, I sold it to a publicly listed media conglomerate.
After leaving in 2018, I shifted my focus to investments. I now invest as an angel, became a Limited Partner in several VC funds, and started my own VC for blockchain applications.
The most fun for me is actively building companies. I support young entrepreneurs as a Founding Investor, where I'm involved as a "fractional co-founder" in the crucial 0-1 stage.
I'm passionate about both learning and teaching. As an Advisor on Entrepreneurship at CODE University, I share experiences from my own journey to help students—the future founders of tomorrow.
I began investing in cryptocurrencies like BTC and ETH in 2017. As my interest grew, so did the deal flow I received. Two good friends of mine had similar experiences. We decided to pool our resources and invest in Web3 companies together. We joined forces with three alumni from CODE University who shared our curiosity. As more people expressed interest in investing alongside us, we evolved our investment company into an angel club and eventually into a regulated VC fund. Today, w3.group runs one of Germany's most vibrant Web3 ecosystems. This includes our w3.hub co-working space, w3.vision conference, w3.labs staking service, and our liquid crypto fund, w3.wave.
